1. Overview
These Terms govern your access to and use of the services provided by CometVox Fire Institute (“we”, “us”). By using our site or purchasing courses, you agree to these Terms.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and update it as needed. We may suspend accounts for breach or misuse.
3. Course access and licenses
Upon purchase, we grant a limited, non-transferable license to access the course for the access period shown in the catalog (typically 12 months). Courses may not be redistributed, recorded, or resold.
4. Payments and taxes
Prices are shown in USD unless stated otherwise. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method. Taxes may apply based on your location.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Individual learners may cancel for a refund within 14 days if the course has not been started. Team engagements follow the cancellation terms in the statement of work or master services agreement.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the services, circumvent access controls, or interfere with others’ learning. Do not use the platform to store unlawful content.
7. Intellectual property
All course materials, trademarks, and site content are owned by CometVox Fire Institute or our licensors. You receive no ownership rights by using the service.
8. Disclaimers
We provide training and general information. We do not guarantee outcomes, incident prevention, or regulatory approvals. Always follow your AHJ’s requirements and site-specific procedures.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to amounts you paid for the services giving rise to the claim within the prior 12 months.
10. Changes
We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding conflict-of-laws principles.
